Feedback from the 2010 race was so good that we've decided to do it again. We expect to follow pretty much the same pattern as this year's race and we hope to add a fun run as well. The date is now confirmed as Sunday 20 March 2010 so please put it in your diary.
It was a lovely sunny morning for the 3rd Exbury 10K though there was a chilly wind which did some interesting things to the gazebos. The run took us along Lepe foreshore and the last kilometer was in the lovely Exbury Gardens. The recent cold weather meant that the gardens were not quite as much in flower as usual but there was still lots to see.
Feedback on the Runners World site is excellent; we're glad you enjoyed it. If you aren't a member of a club and enjoyed the race you'll be very welcome to join Hardley Runners.
From the 2010 race we donated just over £2,000 to charities and good causes (including Help for Heroes, The Soldiers Charity and Alzheimers research) and when added onto the previous years donations, it means that in just 3 years the race has now given over £5,700 out to deserving causes and charities.
Here are the overall final results. At least we hope they are final but if you are not on the list or you spot any mistakes please contact us with your name, number and, if you recorded it your time and we'll correct them. They are in two formats
Congratulations to our male and female winners who both broke the course records (Paul by 1 min aand 2 secs and Clair by an incredible 3 mins 35 secs.
