2022 Race and Future Events

The Exbury 10K returned in 2022. A new organiser has taken on the event, supported by Hardley Runners. Race details and registration can be found here.

2017 to 2021 Race not held

We aren't holding a race for 2017. The future of the race is uncertain and unless we find new organisers it is not likely to be happening next year either. Sorry.

The normal route of the Exbury 10K is a flat and fast circular course run over country lanes which starts and finishes at Exbury Gardens, taking in spectacular views of the Solent and includes approximately 500 metres of beach front running on the foreshore path at Lepe Beach. Note the start is at an altitude of about 20 metres. The course goes gently down to Lepe which is at sea level and then back up to the start so maybe it is not exactly flat but it's pretty flat.

For 2014, 2015 and we had to reduce the distance to 5 miles becuase of storm damage to the beach path. We hope that will be repaired soon.

Background information

We won't be sending out numbers and chips in advance; you'll need to collect them between 8.15 and 9.15 from Mr Eddy's tearoom. Please do not arrive earlier than 8.15 as we won't be ready! The car park is close to the start and chip pick up so you'll have plenty of time.

Don't forget that your entry includes entry to the lovely Exbury gardens. Why not stay on after the finish and take a look around; the gardens are well worth a visit. Here are some pictures to give you a taste of how lovely they are.

If you are not already in a running club please join us in Hardley Runners or your local club. Hardley Runners is a friendly club which welcomes members of all shapes and sizes from people who often come last to UK champions. To find out more just ask at the information tent at the race. 2015 Race - The Exbury 5 and Fun Run - Sunday 29 March
