Solent Half Marathon

The Solent Half is our half marathon held in October. It is a friendly race with up to 500 entries and a lovely course winding through the New Forest around Exbury and along the Solent shore at Lepe.

2007 Results and Pictures

Thanks very much to everyone who helped with the planning and on the day. A huge amount of work went into putting on the event and it is another wonderful example of the way in which runners help each other. Over 300 runners enjoyed an excellent run through the New Forest and by the Solent at Lepe. The men's winner, by a fantastic three-minute margin was Richard Gowen from Alton Runners in 1.11.33. First lady was Shona Crombie-Hicks from Winchester & District AC in 1.20.48. Kevin King in 20th place was first Hardley man and Fionnuala Poynter was first Hardley lady in 8th place (85th overall).
