Solent Half Marathon

The Solent Half is our half marathon held in October. It is a friendly race with up to 500 entries and a lovely course winding through the New Forest around Exbury and along the Solent shore at Lepe.

This year's race - Sunday 10 October 2010

After last year's rave reviews we have decided to do it again. This year's race will be on Sunday 10 October. We will start at 10.10 so that it is 10.10.10.10.10 which should make it easy to remember! The fee is £14.50 for UKA affiliated runners and £16.50 for unattached runners. This includes chip timing.

This time we are entirely electronic and we won't be having paper entries.

Last year's race - Sunday 11 October 2009

It was an overcast morning but the rain held off and conditions were good for a fast race. Reports on Runners World suggest that competitors enjoyed it which makes it worthwhile organising it! Thanks very much to everyone who helped behind the scenes and on the day. You did a great job.
