The Solent Half is our half marathon held in the Autumn.  It is a friendly race with up to 500 entries and a lovely course winding through the New Forest around Exbury and along the Solent shore at Lepe.

This Year's Race - Sunday 27th September 2015

Your feedback has been good.  We are glad you enjoyed the event.  You can see the full results here.

Thank you

Here's a message from Chris and Mick,

Dear Everyone, thank you for your help, patience and time on Sunday morning, which all contributed to make this year’s Solent Half Marathon such a success.  A special thank you to Judy Bannister who spent weeks organising the volunteer roles.

There were 407 entries and 352 people ran on the day, winning and overall times were admirable.

Unfortunately there were not enough Hardley Runners (ladies & men) to make A and B teams in the HRRL, I’m sure next year this will be different.

The sunny weather most certainly helped, also bringing along 77 youngsters to take part in the Children’s race, a significant number whose parents are Hardly Runners.

Thank you to all those non Hardley Runners .who kindly made up the marshalling numbers, on the race route and at drink stations. Not forgetting Rhiannon Bennett, Josh and Lucy who were kind enough to take on the challenge of the Baggage store.

Again Tiff and her cake stall excelled, this year raising £135, thank you to all the ladies and a few gentleman who were able to bake a cake! This sum plus all profits from the event will go to charity.

Finally a huge thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment to make the Solent Half Marathon such a popular event in the racing calendar. Without your help it would not happen.

Kind Regards

Mick and Chris.
