Distances are between 4 and 5 miles and have similar locations to those in the RR10. Club CC6 captains Dave and Jenny Jewell are keen to get as big a turnout as possible. Details of the fixtures are here

The next race is on 21 February at Stoney Cross.  Jenny writes, " Details of the location can be found by visiting the CC6 website (see Links page). Anyone wishing to lift share should be at Applemore Rec Centre at 8.20 am.    This is a lovely foresty run and it will be great to see lots of you there - particularly you ladies who were down in numbers at the last race."

Club Championships - Salisbury - 7 March

This year the Committee has decided that the Club Championships will be at the Salisbury 10M on Sunday 7 March.  You can get an entry form here.  The Club Championships are traditionally based on the results of a Hampshire Road Race League event selected by the committee.  There are magnificent shields for both the fastest Hardley male and female runners who become the Open Club Champions. The results are also run through an age related programme to determine the two Age Related Champions. There is a club rule which ensures that no-one can win both the Open and Age Related trophies which spreads the honours around.  The trophies will be presented at the Hilly Half lunch at the Forest Park hotel, Brockenhurst on 11 April.

Exbury 10K - Sunday 14 March

Please come and marshal to help make this race a big success.  After last year's rave reviews we have a great reputation to uphold.  If you'd like to run please provide someone else to marshal for you.  Thanks.  For more information please see the Exbury 10K tab.

RR10 Fixtures for 2010 season

The RR10 league is a series of races organised by running clubs in south-west Hampshire for their members. The races are held on Wednesday evenings during the spring and summer. Entry is free. All of the races are 4-5 miles off-road. The standard of runners varies from 5-minute milers to 12+ minute milers so, however fast you are, there will always be someone to run with. Details of this year's fixtures are here.  The first race is on 21 April at the Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley.  Please remember that this one starts earlier than most at 7pm and that there is always traffic congestion after you leave the motorway so the last bit of the journey takes longer than you think.

Lymington Lifeboat 10K- Sun 9 May2010

The 9th Lymington Lifeboat 10K race takes place on Sunday, May 9th starting at 1000 hrs from Woodside Park, Lymington. This increasingly popular event helps to cover the costs of the Lymington Lifeboat operations and crew training. The route and facilities are essentially the same as in 2009 plus additional toilets.  Refreshments and massage will be available and Southampton UpandRunning accessories shop will be present.

Last year’s very successful event attracted 880 entries and the limt has been raised to 1000 for 2010. OMM 2010 is in the South West - Sat/Sun 30/31 October 2010

For those off road runners who have never done the Original Mountain Marathon (formerly the Karrimor MM) there is less excuse this year as the location is in 'South West Britain'. The event will be held over the weekend of Saturday 30th and Sunday 31 October so that competitors have the 'benefit' of an extra hour's sleep on the hills!

Hardley Runners have a long tradition of taking part in this event.  Last year we fieldws five teams so you can find out what it is really like by asking any of them - John Horton & Mick Anglim, Tony Musson & Martin Elston, Sue Sleath & Allan Peat, Judy Pike  & Kevin Bannister, Mike Delauney & Phil Shearsmith

For more information see the OMM site and navigate using the tabs, News, The Event, Entry information and so on.

Entry fee per team £98. Closing date 28th July. Start list on web site 2nd August

Changes for 2010 - Extra Class

In order to reduce erosion on the B & C classes OMM have introduced an additional class between them. The original C class will now be called D with the same distance & climb as the old C Class. The new C Class is intended to be a transition between the traditional linear course and the score courses.  At certain stages on the course competitors will need to select which controls they want to visit.  The result will still be based on time.
