Test Way Relay

We organise this popular relay along the 46 miles (or thereabouts) of the Test Way.

This year's event - Sat 30th August 2008

If you have been looking at legs 3 and 4 you may be worried by the road closure on the B3048 at Longparish Church.  The contractors have assured us that the road will be open on Saturday so support parties should be able to get through.  We'll check on Friday evening and put an update here at 7.30.

Please note that there is a change in leg 4 at Pachington (West of the A303).  For many years the footpath was blocked by barbed wire but it is now open.  After you come in off the B3048 through the dismantled railway bridge you used to have to turn left along a concrete path through the pig farm becuase the true route was blocked.  Now you go on a bit further after the bridge and then go left through an open gate (or it usually is) and then skirt round the pig farm to the North before rejoining the track to the chicken sheds.  Provided you don't go down anywhere which says no public right of way or similar and do follow the arrows you can't go wrong.  But people who know the way because they have done it for years will be going the wrong way unless they take notice of the new route.  Here's a map showing the new route.

Here are details and the entry form.  And here's a link to the official Test Way website if you want to do a bit more research.

Last year - Sat 8 September 2007

Last year saw the 22nd running of the event for club teams (men, women and mixed).  Here are the race report and the results.
